	Girls Inc. and the Brockville and Area YMCA have teamed up again this fall to offer a drop-in program for all girls 6-13 at the ‘Y’ every Thursday night from 6:00 - 8:00 pm starting September 17th. Girls are invited to come to Girls Night and participate in fun, hands-on Girls Inc. programming that will encourage them to strengthen skills they already have and learn some new ones! It is also a chance to meet new girls and make new friends!! December 30 - April 9	Girls Inc Brockville Women's Hockey Tournament - REGISTRATION OPEN
	Girls Inc. will be hosting our first women’s hockey tournament to raise money for girls programs throughout Leeds and Grenville. It will be held April 9 - 11, 2010 at the Brockville Memorial Centre and the Centennial Youth Arena, both located in Brockville. The cost will be $800 per team with a three game guarantee. This tournament is open to 32 adult female teams and offers a full range of divisions including beginner, recreational, competitive, and open. April 15 - June 24	Family Mental Health Education Program
	Canadian Mental Health Association Family Mental Health Education Program April 15-June 24 7:00-9:00 The Canadian Mental Health Association (a United Way member agency) is pleased to present a FREE 11-week Family Mental Health Education Program that will begin in April. The program is designed for family members who are coping with a relative's mental health issue which may include: Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety/Panic and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Course content will include information on a variety of topics, including signs/symptoms, suicide awareness, navigating the mental health system, crisis planning, treatment options etc. Information provided will be enhanced with videos, guest speakers and discussions. The spring course will begin on April 15, 2010 on Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for 11 weeks. All course materials will be provided at no cost to participants and the classes will be held in Brockville. It is anticipated that classes will fill up quickly and class size is limited to 20 participants. Family members interested in attending must register by calling 345-0950 ext 6 as soon as possible.
